WEBSITES FOR
ROADWORTHY INSPECTIONS IN
AUSTRALIA.

New websites only. Not a managed service.

// 01 — WHY THIS VERTICAL NEEDS THIS

STATE TERMS. PRICES UPFRONT.

Customers searching for a "pink slip", "blue slip", "RWC", "safety cert" or "rego inspection" are time-pressured (rego is due) and price-sensitive (it's a $40–$100 job). The site's job is to confirm you do their inspection type, in their state, today.

Inspection naming changes by state. NSW pink slip / blue slip; VIC roadworthy (RWC); QLD safety certificate; WA examiner inspection; SA & NT inspection report. If your shop is in NSW, lead with pink slip. If you cover multiple states (or border-areas where customers cross), call out each one. Customers Ctrl-F for the term they searched.

The second thing that converts is a price upfront. "Pink slip — $52" beats "call for pricing" every time on a $50 job. Government caps pricing in some states; we list it. In the others, you set it. Either way, the price is on the page.

The third is the booking-vs-walk-in signal. Some shops are walk-in only; some require booking; many do both with priority slots. Make it obvious so customers don't turn up at 4pm Friday expecting a same-day cert. Form captures rego, vehicle, preferred time. You confirm.

This page covers what's on a standard inspection-shop build. Pricing, process, and Website Care are on the main pricing page.

// 02 — WHAT'S ON YOUR SITE

SECTIONS, DIALLED IN.

Every build for this trade includes these. We adjust to your angle but the bones are proven.

Each type (pink slip, blue slip, RWC, safety cert, pre-purchase) gets its own H2 + body. Each ranks separately.

Inspection prices listed upfront. Government-capped where applicable; your price where not.

Booking form

Rego, vehicle, inspection type, preferred time. You confirm.

Walk-in / booked signal

"Walk-in welcome" or "bookings essential" — customer expectation set on landing.

What to bring

Plain-English checklist: rego papers, ID, keys, anything else. Cuts wasted appointments.

Common-fail tips

Optional. "Tyres under 1.5mm", "lights blown", "wipers worn" — short list of things to check before bringing it in. Builds trust, reduces refunds.

// 04 — VERTICAL FAQ

STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

Specific to this trade. The general FAQ — pricing, process, Website Care — is on the main FAQ.

Why is the inspection called different things in different states?

It's the same idea (a pre-rego safety check) with different state legislation. NSW: pink slip (annual eSafety) and blue slip (heavier inspection). VIC: roadworthy certificate (RWC). QLD: safety certificate. WA: examiner inspection. SA / NT: inspection report. We use whichever term your customers search for.

Should we list our prices on the website?

Yes. Inspection pricing is the #2 question after "do you do my inspection type". Price up front beats "call for quote" on a sub-$100 job. Government caps prices in some states (NSW pink slip is currently capped at $46 incl GST for cars); we display the cap.

Can the site take same-day bookings?

A booking-request form, yes. A real-time calendar, no. Same-day slots fill / open with walk-ins; a calendar widget creates phantom bookings. The form captures intent; you confirm by reply or call within 30 minutes.

Do we need a separate page for pre-purchase inspections?

Same page, separate section. Pre-purchase inspections are a different customer (buying a car) with a different price (usually $200+) — they need their own H2, scope description, and "we check X, Y, Z" body. Same form, different inspection type selected.

What about heavy vehicle inspections (B-double, articulated)?

If you're authorised for heavy, list it as a distinct service with its own pricing and "by appointment only" tag. Heavy and light shouldn't share a price strip; they're different jobs. The form handles both with a vehicle-type dropdown.

Can the site list common things that fail an inspection?

Yes — and we recommend it. A short "Things to check before you bring it in" list (tyres, wipers, lights, exhaust, fluid leaks) cuts your fail rate, reduces refund disputes, and converts first-time customers who appreciate the heads-up.
